Our Mission
We will provide the highest quality of education to build students to become professional and qualified pharmacists and leaders in pharmacy profession through in-class education and practice, on-field research and clerkship within hospital pharmacies, laboratories and pharmaceutical enterprises as a contribution to the development of Cambodia’s public health and to facilitate students with their future career development.
Education Program
The Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Puthisastra provides education on skills and knowledge necessary for research, operation and management within the field of pharmacy in order to obtain Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy.

Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy Program was designed to educate students with basic and compulsory knowledge related to officinal pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, biological sciences, basic pharmaceutical sciences and environment as well as foreign languages which are necessary skills for medical research and management of private or hospital pharmacies, medical laboratories and pharmaceutical enterprises. Starting from year 3, students will have clerkship within different hospital pharmacies, hospital laboratories and pharmaceutical enterprises in order to strengthen their capacity based on real practices.
Research Programs
Research programs within Department of Pharmacy at Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Puthisastra are oriented towards discoveries and applications that lead to improvements of students’ capacity and knowledge to strengthen and broaden their future careers.
Admission Criteria
Any student who has graduated from high school could apply to study in the Department of Pharmacy. Selection is through the national entrance examination.
Schedule for Classes
The Department of Pharmacy in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Puthisastra follows the semester system. That is: there are 2 semesters per academic year. The Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy Program is a 5-years program which composes of foundation year and 4 academic years including clerkship within hospital pharmacies, medical laboratories and pharmaceutical enterprises during the last 3 years.
Course Instruction
All courses to be offered within Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy Program will be taught in Khmer and English or a combination of both.
Graduation criteria
To complete the program, students must pass all the courses required in accordance with the national curriculum, and pass the national exit examination.
Degree Offered
Students who successfully complete all requirements in this program will graduate with a “Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy”.
