Our Mission
We provide the highest quality of pharmacy education to prepare students to become professionally qualified pharmacists and leaders in the field of pharmacy through in-class education, laboratory practice, on-field research, volunteerism, clerkship and internship within hospital pharmacies, laboratories and pharmaceutical enterprises.
Education Program
The Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Puthisastra provides education on knowledge, skills, attitudes and behavior necessary for research, operation and management within the field of pharmacy.

Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy Program was designed to educate students with basic and compulsory knowledge related to community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and biological sciences. Starting from year 3, students will have clerkship, internship within different hospital pharmacies, hospital laboratories and pharmaceutical enterprises in order to strengthen their capacity through real practices.
Research Programs
Research programs within Department of Pharmacy at Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Puthisastra are oriented towards contributing to understanding and knowledge about medicinal plants, pharmaceuticals and medication use processes.
Admission Criteria
Any student who has graduated from high school could apply to study in the Department of Pharmacy. Selection is made through the national entrance examination.
Schedule for Classes
The Department of Pharmacy in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Puthisastra follows the semester system which consists of 2 semesters per academic year. The Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy Program is a 5-year program including clerkship within hospital pharmacies, medical laboratories and pharmaceutical enterprises during the last 3 years.
Course Instruction
All courses to be offered within Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy Program will be taught in Khmer and English or a combination of both.
Graduation criteria
To complete the program, students must pass all the required courses in accordance with the national curriculum, and pass the national exit examination.
Degree Offered
Students who successfully complete all requirements in this program will graduate with a “Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy”.
